Caesaromagus 2014 Less Than Six Weeks Away

Getting in a practise game?

Having a practise game of DBM tomorrow. I am lending Bob an Arab-Indian List to try it out. Never used it before and will be interested to see how the MM list version plays out on the table top. I am using a revised version of my Roll Call army so the game will have a contemporary feel about it.
I will try and take some pictures of the armies to illustrate the game.
Here's the list I wrote for Bob to try out.

65/59/29.5 to break

The game proceeded at a very leisurely pace taking an hour from the set up dice roll until first bound started!

I invaded and the game was punctuated buy a lot of pushing and shoving of ineffectual combats with my Buyid ally failing miserable against his Indian Archers Irr Bw I. Bob eventually broke my Ziyarid ally with a couple of good moves and in return managed to break his CinC command and kill one of his sub generals. By this time I was only one element away from breaking which of course happened. Theres a selection of pictures below of the troops used from by collection. The game lasted a total of 6 hours with photo breaks but Bob isnt the fastest of players hence he doesnt play on the competition circuit at all. I was quite impressed by the Arab Indian army troop mix but Bob wasn't too impressed when I 6-1's his two deep Sindi Cavalry Irr Cv I with a Irr LH F just before I killed that commands sub-general! The Indian Archers Irr Bw I had a charmed life and managed to last most of the game against my Irr Ax S Ziyarids.
