As Italian Losses Mounted New Tank Battalions Arrived
The Italian handling of their armoured formations was pretty poor. They quickly lost lots of their M11/39 Medium tanks & L3 tankettes. They consolidated surviving tanks into ad hoc units & used the surplus crews to create new M13/40 battalions along with new draftees from the tank training schools and other armoured units.
This of course means I need to provide additional replacement tank battalions for any campaign to play out Operation Compass. Here are the additional battalions I put together. The L3 tankettes are Heroics & Ros whilst the M13/40 are old GHQ models from before they because cartoony styled.

7th Medium Tank Battalion shipped over from Italy 21/01/41 in plain army green |

Unusually this battalion consisted of 4 smaller companies similar to the tankette battalions |
I have lots more units to paint and blog for the Italians in due course.
