Caesaromagus 2015 3rd-4th October Writtle Essex
Its the 4th year the BHGS and Essex Warriors have run this tournament to cater for players in the South East. Due to a combination of family issues and military service we are down three entries this year and only have 13 entrants. This means we have a BYE in each round which isn't the best solution.
The Runners and Riders are as follows:
Dave Madigan 01/22
New Kingdom Egyptian, 1201 BC Merc DBM
Haiden Fisher 02/64
Middle Imperial Roman, 286 AD CC DBMM
John Brooker 02/78
Late Imperial Roman, 395 AD CC DBMM
Darrell Pearce 02/78
Late Imperial Roman, 399 AD Merc DBM
Gareth Evans 02/83
Patrician Roman, 460 AD Merc DBM
Andy Brooker 02/23
Later Pre-Islamic Arab, 600 AD CC DBMM
Jeremy Morgan 03/51
Norman, 1066 AD Merc DBMM
Tim Myall 03/12
Christian Nubian, 1175 AD EW DBM
Drew Jarman 03/72
Papal Italian, 1266 AD EW DBMM
John Davis 04/43
Later Hungarian 1444 AD EW DBMM
Peter Hockaday 04/13
Medieval German, 1451 AD EW DBMM
Chris Smith 04/56
Order of St John, 1455 AD Merc DBMM
Traditionally we do the draw in date order for the first round avoiding clubmates and trying to ensure if there's a civil war it also takes place.
This resulted in the following draw:
Dave Madigan 01/22
New Kingdom Egyptian, 1201 BC Merc DBM
John Vaughan 01/07
Early Libyan, 1200 BC CC DBM
John Brooker 02/78
Late Imperial Roman, 395 AD CC DBMM
Darrell Pearce 02/78
Late Imperial Roman, 399 AD Merc DBM
Haiden Fisher 02/64
Middle Imperial Roman, 286 AD CC DBMM
Gareth Evans 02/83
Patrician Roman, 460 AD Merc DBM
Andy Brooker 02/23
Later Pre-Islamic Arab, 600 AD CC DBMM
Tim Myall 03/12
Christian Nubian, 1175 AD EW DBM
Jeremy Morgan 03/51
Norman, 1066 AD Merc DBMM
Drew Jarman 03/72
Papal Italian, 1266 AD EW DBMM
John Davis 04/43
Later Hungarian 1444 AD EW DBMM
Chris Smith 04/56
Order of St John, 1455 AD Merc DBMM
BYE
Peter Hockaday 04/13
Medieval German, 1451 AD EW DBMM
Because of the BYE and the lack of a late entry it was decided to run a BYE army with players doubling up in each round to run it. The BYE army chosen was Later Carthaginian.
Peter Hockaday will be taking the first BYE game and the person in last place in each subsequent round will play the BYE army and take the actual score achieved using the BHGS 32-0 system for draw purposes unless they have already played a BYE game.
I shall update the blog with the full results in due course after the weekend is finished.
