A Small Hussite Commission in 15mm
Bob at the club wanted a couple of knight generals elements for his Hussite army plus another three Polish knights to bulk it out. Normally I don't like specific commissions too much because finding accurate painting sources can be a right pain. Luckily for the Hussites there is the 1410 Battle of Grunwald Scroll of Arms which lists all of the nobles and town militias taking part on the Polish side.
In the end we discussed which specific arms he wanted and I selected Jan Zizka and Hynek Kruschina plus escorts. For the Polish knights I picked three Herb crests at random.
Bob wanted to base his own castings to match his other elements so I finished them with a plain green basing colour to ensure there was no unpainted metal showing. The figures are mixed makes from Project Lead Mountain. I am rather pleased with how they turned out and now I don't want to sell them but I can do with the money to partially offset another purchase from earlier in the year.
